GIFT OF BOOKS IN TAMIL LANGUAGE FOR FIVE DISTRICT LIBRARIES

Consulate General of India had handed over five sets of books comprising of 1700 books on 29 August 2014 for five district libraries of the Northern Province to Hon’ble C. V. Wigneswsaran, Chief Minister of Northern Province.

Today (03/11/2014) at a simple ceremony Hon’ble C.V.Wigneswaran, Chief Minister of Northern Province in the presence of Mr. S.D. Moorthy, Acting Consul General of India handed over the sets of books to the Heads of the five district libraries in Jaffna.  The books are on different subjects ranging from Hindu philosophy, Religious books, Science, Information Technology, Cookery, Fiction, recent popular English books translated into Tamil, etc.  Six sets of books with 269 titles with each set consisting of in all 341 books, as some books have several volumes/parts to it.
