It has come to this Mission’s notice that a website with the heading “Online Indian Visa Application Form” and with URL address https://india-visa.co/index.php is available on internet. This website claims to have expertise in Indian tourist, business and long-term entry visas. The website’s instructions ask users to pay a service fee of British Pounds 55 or USD 90 or equivalent Euros/Indian Rupees. This website is only charging service fees and asking applicants to pay visa fee later when applying at the Visa Centre. Applicants are hereby warned that some unscrupulous elements have created a spurious website similar to the authorized online visa application website of the Government of India and have been swindling people.
It is reiterated that the authorized website for online visa application has the URL address http://www.indianvisaonline.gov.in Applicants are advised not to make any online payments for visa services at any other unauthorized website. The High Commission of India will not be responsible for any such payments made.
