          With a view to promote and propagate Indian and Sri Lankan art and culture especially in rural areas and also to coincide with the festive seasons of Deepavali, in association with Women Rural Development Centres of Talaimannar and Sinnakarisal, Mannar district, the Consulate General of India in Jaffna has organized a cultural evening on Sunday, 15^th November 2015 at Arasinar Muslim Kalavan Padasali at Talaimannar Pier. The young and enthusiastic school children of Mannar district and also senior artists from country-side presented a stunning, Colorful and spectacular performance of both classical and folk dance/ music in the presence of a large audience of 350 people.

          On this auspicious occasion, Hon’ble Minister of state for Child Affairs Mrs. Vijayakala Maheswaran was the Chief Guest.
