Gifting of books to Faculty of Hindu Studies on its inaugural day

At a function marking the inauguration of Faculty of Hindu Studies at the University of Jaffna today (June 6, 2019), Consul General Balachandran gifted books relating to Hinduism , worth about SLR 2 lakhs. Professor Kandasamy, Competent Authority of the University of Jaffna alongwith Prof. Ms. Sugandhini Srimuraleetharan, Professor Sudhakar, and Senior Lecturer Pathamanatha Sarma received the books on behalf of the new Faculty. The Competent Authority thanked India for her continuous support to the University and appealed to India for funds for strengthening the new Faculty.
