Organistaion of a "Cycle for Unity Programme" under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

1. As part of the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Consulate General of India, Jaffna coinciding with the National Unity Day to mark the 146th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, organized a “Cycle for Unity” programme this morning (October 26, 2021).

2. The officials of the consulate cycled from the Consulate building to Sivapoomi temple (an adobe of Lord Shiva) under Sivapoomi Trust at Navatkuli. Hon’ble Consul General Raakesh Natraj was received by the founder and President of Sivapoomi Trust Dr. Aru Thirumurugan. Acting upon in the guided spirit of Vasudhiva Kutumbakam, Consul General along with the officials of the Consulate offered a special puja for well-being of the people of India and Sri Lanka.
