Business Delegation from India concludes 3-day visit to Northern Province

A Delegation From Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) during their 3-day visit to Northern Province (30 July- 01 August) explored investment avenues across multiple sectors in Northern Province. The delegation met the Governor of NP P.S.M. Charles who highlighted the role of indian investments which are aiding Srilanka's economy. The discussions were centered around sectors like conventional and renewable energy, logisitcs, IT, Tourism and agriculture. The delegation also held discussions with local Chambers of Commerce, businessmen & entrepreneurs to explore joint ventures, investments & business linkages in the Northern Province while also visiting relevant sites for investment during the 3-day visit. Following their visit to Northern Province, the delegation will also be visiting other parts of the country to enhance investments and business linkages between the two countries. Consul General Raakesh Natraj mentioned that the present visit carried forward the vision of the leaders of India and Sri Lanka to enhance connectivity in all forms between the two countries, and leverage these links for shared economic growth and prosperity.
